Warrick Humane Society

Warrick Humane Society was incorporated in 1983 and opened its No Kill shelter on Vann Road in 1997. Our mission is to end the animal overpopulation crisis in the community, to find homes for homeless and neglected animals and to provide educational programs and community services for the mutual benefit of animals and people.

Owensboro Humane Society

Since 1968, the Owensboro Humane Society has slowly grown in strength and numbers to stop abuse, neglect and the over breeding of our local animal population. The Owensboro Humane Society believes that all animals are adoptable and that is why in 1999, we decided to go completely NO-KILL (mercy kills only – beyond any medical help).

PC Pound Puppies

In late 2004, two of our founding members began volunteering with the Posey County/Mt. Vernon Animal Control Shelter in an effort to give dogs that come into the shelter a new home and a second chance at life. ALL stray dogs picked up anywhere in Posey County by our two animal control officers are brought to this shelter.

PAAWS No Kill Animal Rescue

Our volunteers foster our rescue animals in their homes. We do not have a building, or shelter. Our volunteers devote time and love to each and every animal. Our volunteers administer medications when needed for sick animals, care for wounded, and rescue the neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We are very passionate about our efforts and hope that you are able to see that on the faces of the animals.
