Hello, my name is Joshua Jones, and I’m an American Kennel Club Certified Trainer with a passion for teaching frustrated pet-owners how to better-train their pets. I’m also a disabled combat veteran. Upon returning from the Iraq War in 2008, I struggled to find my place and faced a dark, lonely path. Each day in America, an average of 22 veterans commit suicide. Thankfully, I found Soldier Dogs for Independence and met my “battle buddy” Rapala, a Rottweiler/Shepherd mix. This former shelter dog saved my life, and this great program gave my life new hope and direction.
After graduating from the Soldier Dogs for Independence Program, I began teaching pet-owners canine training lessons. This “job” was more like self-therapy, and I quickly realized helping others connect and communicate better with their pets was my true calling. Dogs are dependable and loyal friends. They will climb mountains with you just to be by your side. I model my work ethic after dog traits such as this. When it comes to each clients’ unique situation, I am always prepared to arrive early, stay late, or both. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your pet very soon.
Earlier, I mentioned the importance of Soldier Dogs for Independence. Here is a list of additional organizations I support and remain active with that support and help veterans. Please consider donating your time or resources to any of these worthy causes.
